We will be hosting our annual taster session for new players interested in joining Hurstpierpoint Colts FC, the session lasts for 1 hour and will involve some fun football games suitable for all abilities.
If you would like to register your child then you'll be able to do this on the day. You'll also be able to meet some of the coaches and committee.
What happens after the taster session
Training will then start soon after, assuming we have enough coaches for each age group. For U5's this will be at St Lawrence School and for U6's this will be at Downlands School 4G on Saturday mornings. U8 Girls train on Friday nights at 6-7pm.
I'm interested in coaching
We would love to hear from you. Please email Russ Spencer and let him know that you're interested. If you have any previous coaching experience (not a requirement) please also let him know in your email. The club cover costs for youth coaching and safeguarding badges up to Uefa C.
Female coaches
We particularly want to hear from more female coaches that are interested in joining the club, please let us know if you are interested and if you have any questions. There are many ways you can support as a coach from head coach through to occasional support so please do ask.
Safeguarding
All coaches have completed their DBS check, the FA Safeguarding children course and each age group has a First Aid Trained coach. As coaches progress they will also undertake FA coaching qualifications.
What if the weather is bad?
We want this to be an enjoyable event for the boys and girls so if the weather is bad we will postpone. This will be announced on our facebook group - which you can follow here.
